"Why Are Brazilians So Angry? The Failed Promises of the World Cup"

Reporting from Rio de Janeiro: Thomas J. Vicino and Justin Bensan

Welcome!

I am an Associate Professor in the Department of the Political Science
and the School of Public Policy and Urban Affairs at Northeastern University
in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. I serve as the Director of the Master of Public
Administration (MPA) Program
.

In 2014, I am a Core Fulbright U.S. Scholar to Brazil, where I am a Visiting
Associate Professor of Political Economy in the Graduate Program in Social
Sciences
at Pontificia Universidade Catolica (PUC Minas) in Belo Horizonte,
Brazil.

My research, teaching, and service focus on the political economy of cities and suburbs--and the related issues of metropolitan development, housing, and demographic analysis--and ultimately the public policy responses.

Please explore my site, and feel free to see me in 310 Renaissance Park!
